This is a privacy statement from the Den Haag Roller Derby League The Parliament of Pain (PoP), located in ‘s Gravenhage, The Netherlands, and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 54450136. This privacy statement describes the personal data that we collect, the purposes this data is used for and the safeguards we have put in place to ensure that the data is processed in a fair, lawful, secure and transparent way, following the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. 


1.    USE OF PERSONAL DATA

1.1    You may give us personal data about yourself by:

  1. becoming a member of the league using our membership form; 

  2. contacting the league by email, online form or other means of communication;

  3. registering for an event organised by our league. 


1.2    We may collect the following personal data about you: 

  1. contact details: name, address, phone number, email address and Facebook name; 

  2. date of birth, gender (or preferred pronoun);

  3. health insurance number, next of kin contact details in case of emergency;

  4. derby name and number;

  5. the nature of your contact with the league, your role(s) within the league, your participation in league activities; 

  6. competition results;

  7. images (photos, videos) and/or sound recordings;

  8. financial transactions with the league;

  9. discussions with us via email and other means of communication;

  10. complaints and disciplinary procedures;

  11. marketing preferences (newsletter, blogs); 

  12. proof of identity and signature (members of the board).


1.3    We may use your data for these purposes:

  1. to administer your membership;

  2. to initiate or maintain contact with you;

  3. to organise competitions and other events;

  4. to create promotional materials;

  5. to notify sponsors of our current members (names only);

  6. to provide your data to our governing body, the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).


2.    INFORMATION, CHANGES, CORRECTIONS, DELETION, TRANSFERS AND OBJECTIONS

2.1    You can contact the Secretary of PoP via secretary@parliamentofpain.nl for: 

  1. more information about how we process your personal data;

  2. questions about this privacy statement;

  3. a copy of the personal data about you that we hold;

  4. correction, restriction, deletion or transfer of your data;

  5. objections about the use of your data by PoP. 


3.    KEEPING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

3.1    We keep your personal data no longer than is necessary for the purposes of the league and to meet legal requirements for storing data. 


4.    SECURITY OF YOUR DATA

4.1    We will only use your personal data for purposes which are listed in this privacy statement. We will use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to ensure the security of your personal data.


5.    THIRD PARTIES

5.1    We share your personal data with the following third parties: 

  1. Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) (membership data, team rosters and results);

  2. opponent teams and officials at competitions (team rosters and results);

  3. sponsors (name);

  4. clothing suppliers and printers (derby name, number and size).


5.2    Where a third party processes your data on our behalf, we will take appropriate precautions to protect your data, as required by the privacy legislation.


5.3    We may publish photos of visitors and/or participants at our events on our website, unless you make a specific and reasoned objection (see section 2).


6.    TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

6.1    The personal data that we collect can be transferred to and stored in countries outside the European Union (e.g. on the WFTDA website in the USA). The laws in these countries could be less protective than within Europe. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is respected, protected, and only used in accordance with this privacy statement and applicable laws.

7.1    This privacy statement will be reviewed and may be updated in the future. We recommend that you check this privacy statement regularly.
